During my shift tonight, I found a heart-breaking story about a kid named Sam, born with a facial disfigurement that led to near-impossible surgeries and complications over the years. It was written in 2000 and won a Pulitzer prize. It's four pages, but it is a wonderfully composed piece of work and really tugged at my heartstrings...here it is,
